About Our School

In 1949, Cub Run Elementary celebrated its grand opening.  Now, more than fifty years later, the school has been completely renovated and a new addition includes a media center and science lab.

The first recorded graduates of the one-room Cub Run school were before 1931.  Around that time, four one-room school houses in the area came together at Cub Run.  The building was at the location of what is now the Cub Run Community Center.

Students now have the benefit of a beautiful building that inspires student and teacher pride.  One thing which has not changed is the tradition of excellence expected from students.
